『お伊勢さん』として親しまれてきた伊勢神宮は、内宮と外宮、および123の別宮、摂社、末社などを総称したものです。外宮は、衣食住の神である豊受大御神（とようけのおおかみ）を主祭神として、約1500年前に創建されたといわれています。美しい玉砂利が敷き詰められた参道は、杉の巨木に囲まれて、清々しい空気に満たされています。社殿はいずれも大変にシンプルで、神に祈りをささげる場としての、清浄な気に包まれています。
