Many of the statues here at the Kurodani Temple cemetery were headless. There were also many places here where the pagoda near the top of the hill suddenly popped into view. Big trees with wide branches and lots of green leaves dot the hillside, making it a very pleasant place for a walk. I met a few families who were here to care for the gravestones of loved ones who had died. Some of the stones are new, but most are quite old.
