Bunkyo Civic Center Tokyo View

Another superb option to view Tokyo from above

The Bunkyo Civic Center in Tokyo is a government building that provides another fantastic opportunity to gaze down on Tokyo from above from the 25th floor. It has views that can rival those of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Skytree and Tokyo Tower, making the observation deck a very attractive prospect.

It is free admission, and is much less crowded than the above, allowing the grand canyon of buildings to be taken in at a much more leisurely pace and with less hustle and bustle. Some will believe that it holds a better view than the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, as you can see Shinjuku in the background with its cluster of tall unique skyscrapers that makes it such a famous place. On a clear day, Mount Fuji is also visible.

Unfortunately, it was a little bit hazy on the day that I visited, as it had been raining most of the day. However, it still provided spectacular views along with Shinjuku, but I know on a clearer the day the views will be even more sensational.

The observation deck is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 17:15pm, and is nearby Korakuen Station and around a ten minute walk from Suidobashi Station.
