Hachiman Shrine in Kofu

There seems to be many shrines named Hachiman around Japan, and Kofu has at least two. This Hachiman Shrine is smaller and much less grand than nearby Takeda Shrine, but a large area of trees and huge tumbled rocks behind the shrine, and rampant summer growth around the buildings add a sense of mystery and wildness to this shrine in Kofu. I loved the roof shapes of the smaller buildings, and I also liked the pond.
