Tokyo's summer events calendar is getting a new addition this year with the debut of the 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL, set to take place on June 27th at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO in Odaiba.
Named after Japan's international country code, +81, the festival aims to celebrate the connection between Japan and the rest of the world through music. Organizers describe the event as more than just a concert, with the theme "From CODE to CORE" reflecting a vision of bringing together different cultures, creativity, and artistic styles on one stage.
The inaugural lineup features a mix of international and Japanese talent spanning electronic, dance and pop music. Scheduled performers include THE KID LAROI, R3HAB, MRAK, John Martin, VINI VICI B2B MR.BLACK, NIGHT TEMPO, Alan Shirahama, 3LI¥EN and MARVY. By pairing globally recognized artists with performers from Japan and Asia, the festival hopes to create a cross-cultural music experience.
The venue, TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO, is one of the newest entertainment spaces in the Odaiba area, making it an easy destination for both Tokyo residents and visitors exploring the waterfront district. The event is scheduled to run from 12:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., offering a full day of live performances.
Tickets are available in three categories, with general admission priced at 9,500 JPY, Gold tickets at 18,000 JPY and Platinum tickets at 26,000 JPY.
With its international lineup and focus on connecting cultures through music, the first-ever 81 MUSIC FESTIVAL is aiming to establish itself as a fresh addition to Tokyo's festival scene and a new way to experience both Japanese and global artists in one place.
