If you're a One Piece fan visiting Japan this summer, Universal Studios Japan is once again bringing the world of the Straw Hat Pirates to life with the return of One Piece Premier Summer. Running from late July through mid-November, the limited-time event transforms the Osaka theme park into a must-visit destination packed with live entertainment, themed food, exclusive merchandise, and unforgettable character encounters.
One of the biggest highlights is the One Piece Premier Show, an action-packed nighttime spectacular featuring explosive special effects, daring stunts, and appearances from fan-favorite characters including Luffy, Hancock, Smoker, Lucci, and the Kuja Pirates. Guests can also join in interactive dances and even meet members of the Straw Hat crew after the performance, making it one of the park's most immersive anime experiences.
Food is just as much a part of the adventure. The Straw Hat Crew's Feast Restaurant returns with a festival atmosphere inspired by both the Straw Hat and Heart Pirates. Expect hearty dishes like Luffy's towering beef and sausage burger, Law's chicken curry rice burger, and Zoro's fish and yakisoba burger. Sweet treats include a raspberry mousse shaped like Luffy's beloved chunk of meat and a refreshing orange mascarpone cheesecake inspired by Nami.
Across the park, you'll also find themed street food and icy summer drinks, from tropical frappés and frozen smoothies to tropical fruit churros and lemon herb fried chicken inspired by Usopp. Collectible glowing drink cups, One Piece towels, and the iconic straw hat are among the exclusive merchandise available during the event.
