Fushimi Inari

A must see in Kyoto

Andrea Kahlow   - 1분 읽은 시간

Fushimi Inari with its thousands of red torii gates is one of the most famous and picturesque spots in Kyoto. A major shrine in the Inari area, the first structures were built as early as 711 AD but relocated to it's current location about a hundred years after. Since it is an incredibly popular destination it's easy to get to, just a couple minute walk from Inari Station on the Nara line or Fushimi-Inari Station on the Keihan Main line. Since it's open 24 hours you can go whenever works for you which is convenient if you are trying to beat the crowds!
